New owner of a 64GB model, arrived yesterday. First impressions are that this is a serious bargain especially at the reduced price I paid.

I paid full price just before I saw they were about to start reducing them and I'm happy too. Is essentially cost me nothing anyway after getting some council tax relief through work and selling my old phone.

I'm enjoying having a bigger screen over an iPhone 5, the battery life is far superior, the camera is streets ahead and it does anything an iPhone does and more.

Just need to get used to android

The back of the phone is marked with both the CE and the FCC so if the Americans are happy with it I'm sure it's perfectly safe!
My brother in law went to China a year ago, he was restoring a block of apartments in central London. He bought 150 light switches, sockets etc. He asked if they were CE marked when he noticed that there was no indication of CE marking. They told him to go for lunch and when he came back he caught them etching CE marks into the plastic.

Anyway,

My OPO arrived - blimey its big! I am comparing to a N9 though.

Had some troubles getting my personal e-mail working. Sorted with the Outlook application now.

Can anyone recommend a decent sat nav application - ideally one where i can download offline maps?

No idea about an app that will do offline maps, but Google maps for a great job of navigating for me. Just type your destination in and press "route".

Assuming it works the same as iOS then it'll work in lock screen and turn the screen on when there's a turn coming up.

Here maps are great for offline and they are free. Search play store for "here"

I use Waze for navigation - seems to have maps already loaded, and only uses a bit of data to get traffic and incident reports.

Anybody having problems with the brightness dimming to black when the camera is used in landscape?

Maybe it was the OTA Lollipop update, but something recently has been draining the battery on mine like mad, the phone getting hot and not lasting the day. A search came up with the fix being a back up and restore fresh install, and fingers crossed it seems to have worked so far.

Co-Pilot for me. Paid app but worth it in my opinion.

I've found kitkat to run much better than lollipop on the oneplus. Better battery life, faster and you don't have to swipe the screen to get to the lock screen

I've got a lovely new feature since lollipop. There's a certain place with no signal that I go through on the way to work; I then have to reboot the fker to get data back. Most annoying. Going to have to roll back, I think.

Well I'm a coupe of weeks in to my ownership of the oneplus now, and I've got no regrets at all.

It felt huge at first, which for a phone I suppose it is, but picking up my old iPhone 5 now feels weird. It's comically small!

I'm finding the battery on mine absolutely fine, even after upgrading to lollipop. I'm using it a bit on the way to work and during the day for web browsing and still have over 50% when I get home.

I think my only real gripe is the screen could do with being a bit brighter at full brightness. It's a struggle sometimes in bright sunlight, but manageable.

So a couple of weeks into my ownership of the One Plus one and to be honest. I am not blown away.

The size of the bloody thing! Its enormous!! Ok, i was used to a Nokia N9.
Back lights on the three buttons at the bottom of the phone are comedy - candles give out more light.
I have had at least two SW updates since taking ownership. Each time, the update has lost things i liked. I liked the smoke wallpaper - now gone, some ringtones disapeared....

Im using:
Cyanogen OS 12.0YNG1TAS17L
Android version 5.0.2

and worst of all, the background to the menu screen has gone from black to white - argh!

Google Play (music) is annoying as once opened, the headphone icon stays in the top left of the screen and on the lock screen until you re-boot the phone. This means that my phone will occasionally start playing music in my pocket during meetings.....

I am starting to tire of the phone, but before i put it up for sale on PH classifieds £200 can anyone help redeem it?

Can anyone suggest help pages that can guide me to setting up my preferences etc?

Also, I have read that Oxygen might be better than Cyanogen - whats the verdict and do i change?

Thanks for reading.

Google play is rubbish, I'll give you that. Poweramp is very good though.

Not a daft question, but not a question i know the answer to either.

My N9 had MeeGo - a linux based OS. It was stable. I have had at least two resets on the OPO in a month of ownership.

I didnt want to buy another Nokia as I didnt want to go the Windows route, nor the Iphone IOs route, so Android was my only choice. Anyone want a virtually new OPO?

Hope this helps you out a bit.

Size: Well yeah its a 5.5" screen, I came from having an iPhone 4 and was worried about size, but I'm used to it now (I also have big hands, so its not really a problem anyway)

Backlight buttons: Yes they are useless. I've switched it to on-screen buttons in the Buttons settings.

Losing wallpapers and ringtones: Probably the updates to 5.0 Lollipop, there are ringtone apps and wallpaper sites around.

Menu background: Try a different theme, if there is only one installed on yours, there are a few free ones on the Themes app.
