Today my 16GB Moto G bought from Tesco for £129.00 quid was rewarded once again with software update smile
Now running Android 4.4.4.
Anyone else on the same boat?

It is funny how even the latest Samsung costing as much as 3 times more still running 4.4.2 smile

That's a bit unfair - it takes Samsung a long time to transform vanilla Android into something incredibly ugly and unstable.

Same phone, checked a few hours ago and no joy. This thread made me check again and *woo hoo* it's here. Will install when I get home.

...perhaps it includes a 'prevent double post' feature.

Don't get so touchy smile

You are NOT running Samsung official software. This is a beta version and your Kernel is:3.0.101

The official Moto G Kernel is 3.4.42.
So YES you are running 4.4.4 but is NOT Samsung software.
The Moto G update is close to Vanilla as you can get....Samsung version will be full of crap when is available...simple smile

I guess that's not the official one. What did you use?

http://www.slimroms.net

Highly recommended. Especially if you don't like Touchwiz/Sense or you want to try out the latest features asap.

Thanks Alex - I've just checked on my Tesco Moto G and the update is indeed there!

It's downloading as I type. (And feck me, it's big! 180.4Mb!)

I don't suppose 4.4.4 happens to allow apps to change the network type from GSM to WCDMA does it? It would be lovely if this could be automated by Llama.

You get lots of stty new colours on the contacts and call history screen by the looks of things. Everything else looks pretty much the same.
