OK. Do I take a cheap upgrade now or wait?

I'm an Android man but can't decide if L will be worth the extra or wait.

What do you reckon.

The thing with phones is that there's always the Next Big Thing around the corner. If you wait until Q4 then, by then, the Net will be full of rumours and leaks about the next gen of NBTs. You could wait forever.

Personally I decided not to renew my contract and let it expire. I've moved to a rolling 30 day Three contract with unlimited data for £12.90 a month. I've just ordered a OnePlus One. If I don't like it I'll sell it on and continue using my S3, which does everything I need really (Only when it's got SlimKat ROM installed rather than the Samsung Touchwiz OS)

I've given up with the latest/greatest. I used to be a big iPhone fan, always got upgrades within the first few days of new launch, but tbh, it's all bullst now. Nothing's changed that much between models so pick what you're happy with and stick with it.

I got more focussed on what I want from a phone (screen size and custom ROM) than what the marketing dept told me I wanted. Hence, I have a Note 2. When it dies, I'll probably get a Note 3 or something like that.

Indeed,

And if 'L' really tickles your fancy, I'm betting that most, if not all, flagships (LG G3, SGS5, HTC M8,...) will get it anyway.
If you need a phone now, just go out and buy one I'd say.

Note 4 and Nexus 6 are the two I'm interested in to be honest.

I'm not bothered about being tied in for a couple of years but the phone has to be robust enough to last the course. If you can get an extra gb of ram by waiting a couple or 3 months then it's worth it - whatever chosen will obsolete at the end.

I've a one x + and a 9900 bold which both need replacing at the same time.
