MX100 is a good shout, M500 is slightly quicker in some lower capacities and the M550 if you need a 1TB unit. Otherwise the MX100 512GB is the sweet spot.

Reason I ask is I've just suffered the Crucial M4 5'000 hour bug !

Gist is after an hour, drive hangs and PC BSODs. Backing up now to a WD Passport and about to do F/W upgrade.... However not before I found out about this bug and bought a MX100 and a new laptop ! Doh !
