4G on an iphone 5

Quite possible been asked before but I couldn't find it. My o2 deal runs out in a few weeks and I've no particular reason to upgrade my phone so was looking at a sim only deal and tempted by 4g. Finding information a little hard to come by on this. I know I cannot use o2's 4G on the iphone 5 but can use EE's. Are there any other providers that use EE's network or offer compatibility with the iphone 5?

I am on O2 with 4g. 5gb per month on a contract with the iPhone 5s.

Not much good for me outside London.

To my knowledge onlyEEs network does 4G on an iPhone 5. Support for the other networks' 4G offerings came with the 5C and 5S.

I have a 5S but I'm with EE anyway. I'm happy with EE's SIM only deal. Due to being a (very) long standing customer I'm on a two SIM deal that costs about £29 a month for 3GB on my iPad and 500MB on my phone. Unless you want to stream music from the 'net on your phone this is quite enough.... The single SIM deal for the phone was around £16 IIRC. Its worth checking to see if they have an offer on...

Yep and works on iPhone 5 no need for 5s or c.

I thought that when O2 upgraded me a 4g contract foc eariler this year.

The only place near me that had 4g was London or Birmingham.

All of a sudden the other week I have 4g at home...in Stroud, Gloucestershire of all places! Gloucester doesn't have it but good old Stroud does!

I also had 4g in the middle of knowhere when I drove to High Wycombe the other week. Can't remember where it was but the only things benefitting from it were the local cows and sheep, not a house in sight!

So it is spreading.
