Definitely getting one of these, the Pen looks properly useful and a really good screen. Could do with it being a little bigger though!

You see the edge version ? Looks to be the future with a 2nd slim screen down the side....

Still got the note 2 and it still performs pretty well...

I don't see the future, looks totally like a gimmick. Also looks awful.

Just cannot see the point of it whatsoever.

You fully looked at it ?

Having a small portion of the screen live rather than zapping the power using the whole thing. Allow permanent menus off the main screen and retaining info like time and battery levels.

Leaving it on my desk with it live with notifications without the whole thing lighting up. Current side bar menu always in the way as you switch to touchscreen and keyboards.

I like the look of it too....

Yes, I think it's not particularly well though out.

Take a look at these videos and see for yourself.

http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/09/the-samsung-gala...

For a start, it seems that if you leave it on your desk and just have the sidebar notifications then they will all be upside down. Hopefully there would be a setting to change this otherwise it's a huge fail.

Then, simulate with your own phone. Pulling it out of your pocket after it vibrates and then trying to look at the sidebar for the notifications. It's totally unnatural for the wrist movement.

And really, my Note 4 has zero visibility problems when I am at my desk. I don't know what sort of desk you sit at, but I virtually have to put my eyes almost level to the desk before I stop being able to read my screen. It would achieve the same end result on a normal screen just having a bar area activating every time you get a notification. (Smilar to how the screen works with a Smart Cover) The curve is pointless.

Picked one up today, the normal one not the edge.
Very impressive so far, I need to play around with the pen functionality but the phone itself seems flawless, wish I could say the same for Kies which is as good as useless for backing stuff up.

There might be something you can do with Sidesync, I downloaded it for using with my Note II but it wont play well because I have Cyanogenmod installed on it instead of Samsung's interpretation of Android

I'm using the Edge at the moment and really like the screen. The side screen i usually have on the twitter feed. As more content comes it will get more useful.

As a Note 3 User (and that's still blisteringly quick!) I can't warrant the upgrade but interested in the "Edge" malarkey.

goes off to Google ...

As mentioned before, if you're interested in the stylus, there's really nothing that comes close to the Note.
The stylus & it's working is a thing of beauty. Personally, I don't know whether I'd find a lot of use for it though.
But, I wouldn't know as I've yet to have a Galaxy Note as a daily driver!

Note 3 here too, I've had mine 6 months, was tempted to wait for a 4 but got a good deal and a gear thrown in.

I'm well happy with my 3, it's a beast of a phone but the 4 looks awesome too.

If you have bought the Tom Tom app previously it won't work on the Note 4's High Res screen. Been to the Tom Tom site and they have no plans to support it. So that's alright then, 56 quid down the drain.

Had my Note 4 (non-Edge) for about a week now.

Love it!

Super fast and smooth and it runs multiple stuff without even breaking sweat - screen is the Mutt's and coming to a 4G handset from my previous Galaxy S3, it's a lot faster.

Need to spend more time with the pen but I was making notes in a meeting earlier and it's fab!

Best thing is the quick charger, shame it doesn't work on other phones...

I use a Note2 and Note4, really want to get a Note4 dual sim to replace the Note2, but haven't found the sim to go with it at the moment
