Mines in the kitchen, I kicked off the update half an hour ago.
I'm scared to go look.
Via iTunes I hope? Seems doing it over the air is in part to blame!

It appears that I'm not the only one with a problem.

Apple suggest they'll fix it tonight but I'll be on the phone for the reset of the night.

Ah well....

Nope.
Update finished, "download complete, do you wish to install" er, that'd be a no Apple.

Brilliant work apple.
I downloaded the update, and after the issues, decided to not install. Great you might think, except my phone now has an installer sitting on it, with the red 1 next to the settings icon.
How can I remove this? I have tried rebooting the phone but it remains.
Presumably when Apple release the corrected version, I will not be able to download it, because my phone thinks I already have it..

How can a company like apple release such a blatantly bad patch????

Was thinking much the same myself.

How on earth can a company with the R&D capability and budget of Apple, make such a cockup?

I mean, consensus seems to be that the iOS 8 beta was actually more stable than the final released version. Dafuq?!

Anyone having trouble running Apple Configurator to get non-removable device profiles on their phones with iOS 8?

While it's always possible that lightning strikes twice...

I haven't wasted any time in updating (only takes about 15 seconds to download)

I didn't really have any problems before so perhaps I shouldn't have updated... but it seems OK now that I have.

I was hoping that they had fixed Safari where entering data into a series of drop down boxes is not as slick as before. But they haven't.

No other gripes on 8.0.2.... (5s)

I wonder if it'll fix my WhatsApp problem in that I can't attach pictures to messages.

Very annoying as we use it a lot, work purposes as well as personal.

Wifi calling is AWESOME!
Due to the location of our village and the surrounding hills it is impossible for any network to get a signal in the village, and as its only about 20 houses no one will spend out on a mast.
Now we can make normal phone calls and text over wifi it has finally made our iPhones usable at home.
Before that we had to tell people to ring the home phone or only be able to text people with iMessage.
Very pleased to say the least biggrin

I think only EE support it so far, so if you're not with them then it won't appear at all.
If you are, it is in Settings>Phone>Wifi calls
If you don't see the option in Phone then you need to update the carrier settings.
You also need to have 8.3 installed.

I'm at home now, no normal signal but Wifi calls working as you can see smile
