14 hours remaining for me! Most interested in the calling using Wi-Fi feature but can't seem to find if EE have this enabled yet?

My iphone 5 has been stuck on update requested since 2am!

Anyone else had this?
No - although mine may have taken several hours as I set it up last night and went to sleep while it was on update request. In the time-honoured "have you turned it orff and on again" I did quit settings fully a couple of times to check it really thought it was waiting or had just hung. Have you tried?

Weird. I downloaded and installed it in about half an hour last night at about 10pm. iPhone 5S, all working great - seems to have improved my picking up of data signals (I get 3G where previously it was GPRS or nothing) and I love the new keyboard.

Is swiftkey worth it? The long privacy message put me off - basically you grant them access to everything on your phone.

The family sharing thing is a bit annoying.
Obviously I and my girlfriend have separate apple ID's which we use to make purchases with apps etc, when setting up family sharing it says all app purchases will now be taken from her account. I'd rather we both were able to buy them separately still but be able to share them
^^^^^^

This - my first reaction, too.

Otherwise: I've just discovered that Safari no longer seems to play ball with drop down boxes (signing into bank and investments provider...). Anyone else noticed this?
I wish I could sign up for it, as when I click on it I get told I need an adult family member, now I can be childish at times, but come on....... frown

Managed to check my DoB in with Apple, looks like it was wrong.

The thing I was looking forward to most in this release was the 3rd party keyboards.

I hate the Apple one for 2 reasons, 1 it always shows upper case letters even when in lower case, and 2 there is no long press available for punctuation or numbers (yes I know you can hold the shift key and swipe to the punctuation but that's not the same thing).

Having installed both SwiftKey and Swype they show lower case which is great but still no punctuation or numbers showing on the keyboard which you can long press. Is there an ios8 keyboard out there that does this yet?

I quite like the idea of double tapping the home button and getting your recently called numbers up, with the option to call them on another number, ie home instead of mobile etc.]\
Also seems to run a lot quicker than IOS7.

iPad 4 and iPhone 5S done. All seems a lot of fuss about nothing to me.

Swype keyboard installed, tried and deleted.

Found a few of my apps no longer work, which is irritating...

yes: I'm actually still on iOS 6 on my 4S, having seen iOS 7 crawling on my wife's 4S. The trouble is I don't want an iPhone 6 and the 5S is now only coming in 16 and 32GB...
iOS7.0 was very slow on the 4S, however they released an update and it ran fine afterwards.

Interesting, will crack on with this later. Any ideas how well it works with the 4S? I really, really didn't want to upgrade mine from 6 however had a major issue with corrupted data so had to. It's running awful now so I cannot imagine 8 being any worse!

I installed swiftkey on my iPad 4 and there appears to be no gesture typing? I couldn't see where to switch that on.

Besides, since the update its like everythings running about 10 frames per second. Slow and jittery.

To be honest, I don't see why swiftkey is so popular. Even on my HTC One M8 its dog slow. The google gesture keyboard is much better.

You have to download swiftkey and enable it in settings.
And then press the globe on the keyboard until you reach Swiftkey
