Bit of a rant here but they have seriously pissed me off.

Ordered a 12 month SIM only contract with them. 2 days later (today) sim arrives. Great thinks I, so I pop the SIM into my phone and get a text saying thanks for choosing 3 PAYG. Alarm bells rang so I rang them up, waited 20mins to speak to someone who in fairness was helpful and said there's been an error and that it'll be sorted in 24 hours.

Trouble is part of that conversion she asked if I had received another SIM, doubled checked my address and generally seemed flustered. I'd already submitted a Pac transfer so when I asked what would happen with that I was put on hold for a bit, then was told that it would be rejected due to this situation. Wait 24 hours then phone them up to make sure my account is on the monthly plan I'm supposed to be on, then resubmit my Pac request.

It all seems like a big bag of fk up and I couldn't give a st but I don't want to lose my number that I've had for 9 years.

In these situations is it worth going to a shop and expressing annoyance or is it worth just cancelling the whole contract and going somewhere else?

You're right.

I have little faith it'll all be sorted though. Especially within 24 hours.

I've found 3 customer support to be fine, any issues have been sorted without problem, give them a chance.

The only time I have had to call them, due to my mobile not working abroad, I was repeatedly told that it works abroad, even when it didn't (Multiple times in 3 different countries) they finished the call when they told me that if I am abroad again and it doesn't work I should call them. rolleyes
