Tablet for Mother in Law

Added bonus of being something I'm familiar with so when I'm called for 'Tech Support' I have a fighting chance of sorting it lol.
Thats probably the single biggest thing...I had to advise an elderly relative on a table too recently, and although she's a bit short on cash made her get an ipad.
Why? She has zero technical ability, never had an email account or computer of any form and i figured (based on phones) that ios is an easier system to use then android.
Upshot is that she keeps poking around in settings, I get 10 emails a day about how to do various bits -usually with HELP in the subject line, she's terrorising the world on facebook (which she swore she was only going to use to keep in touch with family), playing scrabble with people all over the world, and making a huge pain of herself. If it wasn't such a nuisance it would be funny.
So beware what you wish for!

Cheers chaps.
MIL has had a play with the Nexus7 and seems to like it.
So will get her one in the not too distant future.

On the flip side, I tell people I know who ask me about Apple and iPads that I have no clue, it's brilliant.MIL has had a play with the Nexus7 and seems to like it.

The N7 is a great tablet, the 2013 model is far slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, very comfy to hold for long periods.
I was on the cusp of buying a Kindle to sit alongside as I wasn't sure what the N7 would be like for ebooks. However, I've found the N7 to be great as an eReader too so I've held off buying the Kindle.
