The five finger pinch to close an app on my iPad only works sometimes.

The Frequently Visited websites in Safari are annoying. Why can't they be turned off?

Can't get an image URL anymore (ios7 allowed you to copy an image and paste the URL into an address bar).

Slower and more jerky operation overall.

When trying to type something (like a reply on here) the keyboard sometimes only appears for a split second. Also, the box I'm typing in disappears off the top of the screen.

None of these were issues with ios7.
I have an iPad 4 and have the same. Turning the gestures on and off in settings seems to fix it for a while. I find the zooming in safari is horrible as well, if you zoom too far out you end up looking at all your open tabs in a kind of "expose" way like on OS X. I also had it go all glitchy when doing that and couldn't get the website to re-frame correctly so I could read it.

Animations are visibly sluggish too and while i haven't had any problems with the keyboard, switching keyboards is dog slow and half the time, SwiftKey keyboard doesn't even appear leaving me with no input method!

They'll get it fixed in time I am sure, but it does appear to be somewhat half baked in places.
Sometimes I go to the tab view in Safari on my iPad, then when I select one to view, it's blank. Go back to the tab view and I can see the content again.

Safari crashes randomly now. I don't think I noticed it crash once in the previous year with iOS 7.

Try and select a sentence to copy and paste, sometimes it works fine, but sometimes when dragging the start or end along the screen will scroll upwards which then results in a load of text inadvertently selected, so need to start again.....

I've had my iPhone reboot itself for no obvious reason.

iOS 8 is still full of stupid bugs. None of these were problems with iOS 7.

As well as all the other issues mentioned above. Copy paste being the most annoying.

I'm also getting a strange problem with auto spell.

If you spell the last word in sentence ,incorrectly' but actually want it spelled like that acronym or a word not in the i dictionary so press the x then enter for next paragraph it turns pink again but no x you can't go forward or back by pressing on the screen you have to delete the word and start again. Annoying as fk.

Just found the copy/paste bug, nice... Gotta say IOS8 has been a bit of a letdown so far, my cheapo Android phone just works so much better at the moment frown

I was using the slow mo video at the weekend and even though the picture looked the right way up the icons at the top were upside down ( timer icon, flash etc) so the videos in my photo library are upside down - had to re boot the phone. to operate the video you have to operate everything backwards!

There is defo something up with the auto rotate on IOS8

Isn't it obvious? The iPhones knows that in reality you should be typing in landscape, and it is giving you a gentle suggestion that maybe you're holding the phone wrong?

Wee bump.

How's everyone getting on with iOS 8 now?

Getting a new phone next week, really want a 6 but the iOS 8 bugs are rather off-putting, to say the least.

The bugs aren't that bad. Annoyances at most imho. Wife loves her iphone6, and she's a "normal user" not a super nerd.

My phone's been going nuts since Wednesday of last week. It just does random things when I touch the screen. It can take 5 attempts just to get the pin code to 'take', and getting an app to open is very frustrating. It'll settle down after a few minutes, generally, but it it definitely not happy.

I did wonder if it was the screen itself failing, it's a non-genuine replacement, albeit a year old.

Keeping the screen squeaky clean helps a bit.

My 6 crashes constantly using Safari I have cleared my browsing history in the settings and it still does it so I am booking myself in for a genius appointment.

Either mine has a fault or the phone needs more RAM.

8.0.2 has broken bluetooth - it won't talk to my car anymore.
Sarah's old iPhone4 running iOS 7 still works just fine.

Looking at the forums, I'm not the only one...

I wonder if there is a difference between the OTA update and the iTunes restore/update?

I have none of the reported issues on my phone (except that iOS is fking boring, and I haven't tried bluetooth).
