I'm hoping the iOS 8.1 update will get my emails working again. Just getting "searching for mail" but it doesn't return anything. The last update took hours and crashed so I had to factory reset and restore. It could be a long night unless they've sorted their s**t out.

It went live on monday. A week is 7 days. You can't have had it for a week wink

I bit the bullet on tuesday and installed it on the 4S. 8.1 seems to run just as "well" on the 4S as 8 did. ie. sluggish as heck, shouldn't have ever been released, etc. etc. But as long as Spotify keeps working I'm happy with the 4S.

My ipad2 lost its sim card connectivity (saying no SIM installed) so i bit the bullet and upgraded to ios8.x

It fixed the SIM card issue and the issue of netflix booting me off the wifi network every five minutes (which im convinced has more to do with my BT hub).

So far so good though

8.1 an improvement.

Still locks up from time to time. I think this 1st gen iPad mini is not powerful enough. Lesson learned never update an apple product.

Just updated the Mac to Yosemite, lo and behold, iPhoto stops working!!! It needs to update the entire photo library in order to restart, there was no warning of this, thanks again Apple!

Well it's not quite back to 7 performance on my iPad 3 but 8.1 is certainly an improvement

Lucky you.

Copy paste still not perfect. Last week I bought a chain saw and copied the chain teeth details to buy extras.

I've been copying and pasting all week since it randomly just puts the fking chainsaw details in again. In the third copy it gets it right then a few hours later I copy something else and when I press paste chain saw again frown

Very frustrating.

I've installed 8.0.2 on my iPhone 4S this afternoon.

Where 8.0 was absolute, total and utter drivvel, this minor update brings it back to iOS7 speeds.
Anyone else have this experience?
Hindsight learns that I was a bit too excited after the relative improvement in speed of 8.0.2.
All in, ever since updating to 8.0 and subsequent versions, my iPhone 4S is just slow.

I'm seriously considering changing phones, and it won't be to another iPhone...
