What 4K Monitor?
Discussion
Hi
Looking for some advise.
I have a Macbook Pro Retina, i7, that I would like to use with a dock and a 4k Monitor.
The setup will 95% used for remote access for work.
I was looking at this monitor:-
Samsung U28D590D 28 inch Ultra HDMI Monitor : link - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-U28D590D-inch-Ultr...
Is there a better monitor bang for buck?
Many thanks
BJM

Having used several monitors, do you need a 4K one?
IME, on something towards 27", 2560x (WQHD) something seems more than enough.
I personally can advise the Iiyama xb2779qs.
OSX is optimised for this, don't know about the experience on higher resolution, but there will always be a trade-off in terms of speed, brightness,...

What do you want to do on the monitor? If it's relatively static (i.e. development browsing etc) then all our developers have been won over by having a large (50 inch?) seiki TV as a monitor rather than 4 individual screens.
They do a smaller one in the UK

Bang for buck they seem pretty good.
