Hi,

I transferred a database back to Access 2003 from 2010 (originally created in 2003) and was working fine apart from a warning about blocking unsafe expressions whenever opening it. I've been using the database in 2003 just fine for some weeks but then decided to do something about the warning and clicked 'yes' to block the unsafe expressions. The standard default appearance of the datasheet view altered after doing this which unnerved me so I went to revert back to not blocking the unsafe expressions but can't find out how. I see it's something to do with macros so tried altering the security setting but no luck there either.

As a side effect of all this, for some reason I can no longer mouse wheel scroll the datasheet view when I'm at the very top of the sheet. Doesn't matter if I try scrolling up/down or clicking a point on the sheet and trying it, it won't work. The only way I can now scroll is by grabbing the vertical scroll bar with the mouse and clicking it down a page and then the mouse scroll wheel works okay, but if I then sort a column A-Z so that it goes back to the top of the sheet it locks up again and the process has to be repeated. This is incredibly annoying.

A suggestion online was to re-open the database in Access 2010, add some random data, save it and then open it back in 2003 and it will be fine but that hasn't worked. I've also tried the mouse hot fix from here which also hasn't worked and even resorted to uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2003, that's not worked either.

As I say, the mouse scrolling functionality worked fine before I started messing with the 'block unsafe expressions' and macro stuff. Anyone come across this problem before and know the fix please? Much appreciated. smile
