Afternoon all,

I'm hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction.

I regularly send out both letters and e-mails that contain lots of different numbers for lots of different addresses and e-mail addresses (i.e names, results, etc. etc).

For letters, we use MailMerge. This isn't so bad, it is just horrendously complex and takes hours to set up correctly (linking it to excel, setting up the formatting tags). For e-mails, we use a custom written Macro which uses excel and outlook. The reason we don't use mailmerge for this is because merge to e-mail only allows you to send to one person and cc one person. These go out to a lot of people, and lots of people are CC'd// BCC'd.

I suppose what I am asking for is an advanced communication programme that allows us to manage our communications much more robustly, instead of faffing around with mailmerges and VBA everytime we want to do something. This solution does what we want it to do but I can't help but think that there must be a better way of doing it out there.

Does such a thing exist?

P-Jay

Not sure on the postal side of things, but Mailchimp might be a better solution for your e-mails - in addition to making things a lot simpler for the actual mailings it'll tell you who opened the mail, who opted out etc - down the the type of device they opened them on - a few years ago we realised that more than 50% of the marketing mails we were sending out we opened on phones and tablets so we redesigned our mailings to include a mobile version - made a huge difference.
