Suggestions for old gear

I'm about to get a new IP router/modem and then will have at least two modem/routers, a router and a modem in the cupboard. Is their anything useful I can do with them, say like a separated "guest" wireless network or should I just recycle them?

I've always fancied get an old laptop and setting up an unencrypted network to annoy the neighbors...

Rip loads of music CD's and save them with dirty names as .mp4 and see what they do...
