Nexus player.. hmmmmmmm wonder how different it is from chromecast?
Looks like on screen app control so you don't need to use an android or PC as a go-between. If it's got the power I'd like it to do on the fly transcoding as well but it probably won't

Wow, just read the Android L update list.

Comes with Nexus 6 & 9 naturally
Updates of course for 5, 7 & 10
But also the 4 and the 2012 7 have been announced as well !

I wonder how long the Nexus 5 will continue - I am tempted to get one to replace my Moto G. Would this be a mad thing to do?

I've been waiting for this but the 6 is too big for me, Z3 Compact or Moto G(4) it is now for me.

The new Moto X is effectively the smaller Nexus 6. Have you had a look at that?

The optional wood backing looks nice as well.

I got 3-4 years out of my old Nexus S, so I'm happy to stick with my N5 for another while yet. If the L update delivers half of what it claims then the N5 will rock on for a while yet. Hopefully it'll give my original N7 a new turn of speed too, as it only gets light use.

I've been holding off on the whole 9-12" Chromebook/Windows/Android tablet options for a while, hopefully the N9 with that additional keyboard will provide the solution I need of long battery life, productivity suites/apps and decent display to fill my needs for a light, quick, portable machine to carry with me during the day for work tasks.

Loving the look and options for wood and leather, it gets a great review: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-pho...

The only downside is space, lack of SD might be an issue for me. It's mostly music and of that mostly Spotify because I use my phone to stream music in the car etc. The 32gb might be enough but I'd be worried about always having to remove apps to make space, although if I'm being honest I can likely live without most of them. It's a similar deal for Nexus 5/6 but the 6 does have the rumoured 64gb version which would be enough.

Certainly going to take a look at the Nexus 9 to replace my old iPad 2 though.

A Micro USB OTG cable and a flash drive works if the short USB OTG cable is long enough to go up the side in a jacket pocket. Or a longer cable in the car? Also with an OTG cable you can connect directly with powered USB Hard drives for easy big transfers.

OTG cable like this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009DFCCKO/ref=...
and then bought the Nexus media importer app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com....

Nexus 6 definately too big for me, have just ordered the z3 compact to replace my aging nexus 4.
Any indication of price for the nexus 9? Might well replace my original nexus 7 for one of those.

I like the look of them both (I see Motorola have taken a leaf out of HTC's book with the front-mounted stereo speakers). Curiously Google appear to have been very careful to have taken every shot of the 9 from an angle that doesn't show the HTC logo at all which is strange.

I like HTC, I've had most of their phones (some good, some very not good) and am currently have a One M8 with a 2013 Nexus 7. Thinking I might be tempted by the 9 although I'm not sure about the 4:3 aspect ratio. I've gotten used to 16:9 (or near as) on my devices. Not sure of the benefits of going from 7 to 9 at this point, especially as L will be coming to the 7.

Pretty happy they're keeping the Nexus5 along side the 6 and 9. I still like the phone, and it's nice that the value hasn't/won't drop quite as quickly, too.

Looking forward to lollypop.

I think this Nexus 6 might just be the phone to finally tempt me away from Samsung. After a Note 2 and then a Note 3, I think I need a change as much as anything else.

I'm not like an iSheep who just blindly upgrades to the next iteration without checking out what else is around first.

Wonder how long before O2 stock it. They usually suck with new phones.

To be fair if you buy into the whole Apple ecosystem then upgrading to the latest iPhone sight unseen is (usually) a safe bet.

I'm glad the 4 is getting L, I don't need 4G and the new runtime should mean a speedup to a phone which is almost fast enough for my usage anyways smile Plus the newest 7 will also get L so good all round for me!

No it isnt. Its processor and battery are inferior by quite some margin.

Droid Turbo is out soon as a smaller alternative with a more uptodate cpu than the X

The note 4 has received heaps of praise from gsmarena. To be honest, it looks bloody good and I'm not really a Samsung fan.
