Nexus 6 imminent

Was up for upgrading to the 6 but like many others have said, I think it's just a touch too big so will look elsewhere. The nexus 9 looks very tempting but was surprised to see the prices, seems like the days of budget nexus hardware is over.
I don't see anything wrong with the price of the 9. It's much bigger than the 7, not quite as big as the 10 and it replaces both of them, the price being around what the 10 was.enemi said:
Yeah mate, I was lucky to get an invite for the OnePlus at launch.
Had the Nexus 5 before that.
Prior to the Nexus 5, I had the iPhone 4S, Galaxy S4...
Oneplus One is a truly amazing phone - although it does have its hiccups with the new release updates.
I was looking forward to the Nexus 6.. So disappointed.
Cheeky to ask but, do you have any invites left?Had the Nexus 5 before that.

I quite fancy one if it is truly great.

Order from the website without an invite from October 27th for 1hr only - http://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_one_preorders_go_l...I quite fancy one if it is truly great.
So here's what you need to mark in your calendar: October 27, 15:00 (3 pm) GMT. That's 8 am PST and 11 am EST for those of you in the States, or 4 pm if you're somewhere in Central Europe.
Invites? 1hr order windows? Ridiculous.

That, sadly, seals the deal for me. Too big for me.I don't know where to go now, even the excellent looking OnePlus One is much bigger than the Nexus 5 I use now, slightly smaller that the 6 though...
Too big for my liking.
Moto X 2014 seems to be the closest to a new Nexus phone you can get (clean Android). Although spec-wise it's almost exactly like the year-old Nexus 5. Sony Xperia X3/Z3 compact also, but a bit less clean, although does have a microSD card slot.
I wish Nexus/Motorola would include microSD slots. £40 premium for doubling the Moto X memory from 16GB to 32GB, £80 premium for doubling the Nexus 9 with the same numbers.

Pricing has been announced - £499 for the 32GB and £549 for the 64GB.

Why wouldn't someone just buy an iPhone at those prices, if they're on the fence?

Too much for me too
I think this will be a gigantic flop compared to earlier versions.
Uptake on the 4 was ok, the only one that could be called a resounding success would be the 5,no? I think this will be a gigantic flop compared to earlier versions.
The Nexus 5 took a lot of people from high end phones at a mid end price point. That's not good business, as Google was basically hurting their partners.
There's a lot of misinformation about these larger phones. I have had the Note 2 for 2years and it fits in my pocket and all the places you normally put a phone. It seems 'too big' but its not and once you 'go large' you wouldn't go back I often wonder why people put up with such small 'normal' phones although these are now fast approaching Note 4/Nexus 6 sizes anyway. Don't discount the larger phones based on their size.
