I like it, but then a lot of colleagues are on iPhones and travel, so iMessage becomes a quick way to communicate..easy for me to copy/paste a piece of contract text or client info into an iMessage rather than an email..

It's great having them on both, much easier to do it on my Mac if I'm sitting in front of that at the time.

They have messed around with iTunes enough to make it a pain.

Edit. OK, finding my way around it.

It would be OK if it was on both, but I send from the phone and replies are going to the Mac. Genius.

Had this st recently with iPhones and iPads. Send from personal iPhone. Reply goes to iPad. Reply from that, and response goes to work iPhone. What. The. fk.

The only thing I'd really like is for Microsoft Outlook notifications to show in the notification centre.

I can't get to grips with using the Mail/Contacts/Calendar combo built in and I've always preferred Outlook with my exchange account.

Has anything changed with the upgrade? Is it worth me trying it again and knocking Outlook on the head?

In my experience it's always sent emails with weird formatting etc.

wavey 'lo Pod. Wondered why I'd not heard from you.. biggrin

I gave up with all that sort of thing a while ago as the whole thing was getting confused between messages/imessages and multiple devices and I don't foresee I'll change that. If I can get on data, I'll use whatsapp and if not text messages. Its a pain in the proverbial having half a set of conversations on one device and the other half spread over a couple of others.

'lo 'bert.

ing thing. SMS seems more reliable than iMessage too. Seems to be over complication for no real benefit, IMO.

I've found on the beta iMessage does get confused at times, but I generally only use messages to talk to one person. Mum bless her has just about got the hang of typing on the telly now so thats keeping the costs of text messages down quite considerably..

Been trying to find a simple remote management type app that I can secretly install to assist me with the remote helpdesk calls. Apparently locking it down in kids mode wasn't seen as a viable option..

And you two.. Heard you had a hurricane on the way? Perhaps I'll pass until its Mulled Wine season. I'm allergic to the cold now. Sort of like Shnozz in reverse hehe

Planning the next trip via BHX on one of the legs. Will drop you both a line..

Don't they? Mine appear everywhere, usually on the iMac first and a bit later on the phone.

One thing I've noticed, Microsoft networking, and in particular AD name resolution seems greatly improved.

Everything just seems slicker.

I still don't regret ordering a new Macbook Air though. I want to be able to answer calls etc from my Macbook which I can't do at the moment.

It took a long time to move off 15 minutes remaining when I did it.

Mine took about 3 hours to go from "4 minutes remaining" to finish.

I looked at the log (Command + L I think) and it was moving stuff from one directory the entire time, it was just taking ages.
