Many thanks for the info especially the Three unlocked option. So I scrap Orange, sort 6 out with Three (keeping my number), give phone to Wifey, unblock my Orange 5 and wang in the Three sim? No headache/issues?

Your welcome. Obviously if they purchased the phone prior to three releasing that info then they need to contact three to get it unlocked.

To me that sounds fine, the only issue I see is SIM card size If it's different between the 2 but a quick request to three for the correct sized sim if you don't already have it will be dealt with quickly.
