8.1 went on clean and easy. iPad Air and iPhone 5S. Haven't attempted the wife's iPad 2 yet.

Point to note...to the chaps having trouble...how much memory is in your phone? My wife's iPhone 5 has just 16GB and in order to do an upgrade it invariably requires plugging into iTunes. In theory if you had nothing on it at all the upgrades might go on...but with her collection of music and apps - no chance.

I maxed out the memory on both of my devices (and the historic ones, in fact) and I don't seem to get any problems at all. Maybe it's that causing it?
Don't know about phones, but my iPad warned of insufficient space and wouldn't attempt install before it had acres to play in.

Rather hoping it'll repair some of the woeful performance issues I've been experiencing on my iPad since upgrading to 8.. I'm going to be disappointed though, aren't I..
It didn't make a difference to my performance issues, BUT, doing a reset of settings (not content/etc) seems to have made a substantial difference. Wireless speed is nowhere near what it should be though. Broadband is sat at a solid 79Mb and the iPad struggles to make 20..
Any thoughts? (Latest BT Home Hub, last of the 30 pin iPads)

General consensus seems to be that it is the most stable version of iOS 8 to date.

Huge changelog too!

iPhone 4s and iPad air running great!
The 4s is a lot smoother and the iPad os now usable, the wifi problem has been fixed. Camera roll is back and Siri that you can use without pressing the home button is cool,
No complaints here

Ah, OK, TV show in joke. Just googled the name. Must admit to only recently picking up on the show.

My iPad 2 seems to be okay. Not blistering by ant means but perfectly acceptable for browsing and AirPlay. Not used for much else though.
8 pretty much bricked my ipad2, so reluctant to upgrade until I'm confident it won't totally and finally kill it..

I don't think 8.1 will make the iPad 2 any better or worse. My iPad 2 was also pretty much useless when I first went to iOS8. I found the list of actions below which made it usable again..

Google said:
1. Settings > General > Spotlight Search - disable the results that do not interest you
2. Settings > General > Background App Refresh - disable
3. Settings > Wallpaper - tap the wallpaper of choice and then select Perspective Zoom Off.
4. Privacy > Location Services - disable as much as you can
5. Settings > General > Keyboards - disable Predictive and anything else that doesn't interest you
6. Settings > Notifications - disable notification for apps that don't interest you.
7. Settings > Bluetooth - disable if not using
8. Settings > Safari > Search Engine Suggestions - disable, i just go to google.com for seraches
9. Settings > Safari > Spotlight Suggestions - disable
10. Settings > Safari > Quick Website Search - disable
11. Settings > Safari > Preload Top Hit - disable

8.1 seems to have fixed my ebay app, which was painfully slow and laggy on 8, on an iPhone 5.

Definitely restored mine back to more like pre 8.0 and less of an expensive placemat

Only issues I had was with Bluetooth pairing the iPhone 6 to my headset and car stereo. Not tried the stereo but the headset now works.

Has anyone got any sense out of the iCloud photo library yet?!
I've turned it on on my phone and it spent ages uploading all the photos, yet when I go to Photos on iCloud.com or beta.icloud.com to go direct to it, its just got a message saying add some photos from your devices.

I'm lost....

Well this is a feck up. Ever since updating to iOS 8 and 8.1, iTunes Match turns on and I lose all my playlists on my iPhone 6. They're missing from the phone yet they're show within the phone pane on iTunes. Had to put them on all over again.

Plus, my phone is getting bloody hot all of a sudden.
