Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with Talk Talk having their IP addresses blacklisted?

I have been having trouble sending e-mail to an address on my domain and found out it is because the IP address given by Talk Talk is blacklisted. It is bit strange that it is only affecting the one e-mail address but not the other on the domain.

Is this a typical symptom of a blacklisted IP address as I would have expected both e-mail addresses to be affected?

Do you get an email bounceback message, is so what does it say (copy and paste here). If you don't, what are the symptopms of these difficulties that you describe.

The bounce back message is

Reporting-MTA: dns; mk-outboundfilter-1.mail.uk.tiscali.com

Final-Recipient: rfc822;xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0 (permanent failure)
Remote-MTA: dns; [x.xx.xx.xxx]
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 554-'5.7.1 DNS Blacklisted by safe.dnsbl.sorbs.net' (delivery attempts: 0)

What is a little strange is there are 2 e-mail addresses on the domain but only one is affected by the bounce back even though the e-mails was sent from the same address.

mk-outboundfilter-1.mail.uk.tiscali.com is on a blacklist (or two)

Tiscali have 6 outbound SMTP servers (mk-outboundfilter-[1-6].mail.uk.tiscali.com)

This particular email was sent via the blacklisted server - the other was probably sent by one of their other servers which isn't blacklisted.

mk-outboundfilter-1.mail.uk.tiscali.com has address 212.74.114.37

I had that a few times about a year ago, rebooting the router to attain a different ip addy sorted it.

Haven't had it happen for some time since.

I did worry at the time that I maybe had a virus/trojan sending spam out unknown to me but nowt showed up. My thinking is that someone else has had the address in the past and had the aforementioned issue.
