I meant to post this at the time but forgot to - my 2012 N7 received the 5.0.2 OTA update last night.
I've let it install but haven't tried it yet.
Hope its a fix for all the issues of 5.0, from what I've read about 5.02 it's very good.I've let it install but haven't tried it yet.
Bloody hurry up with mine Google.

I now have 5.0.2 on my old Nexus7 and whilst not as disastrous as the original 5.0 it is still hopeless.
Just trying to use it for browsing last night and it just switched off then came back on with a flashing screen of lines. Switched it off, but it was actually still on and came back to life with a flattened battery. On charge overnight and seems to be ok again today, but everything is so much slower than 4 on all Apps. Little annoying changes of how to do things for no apparent benefit too (extra click to logon, hidden settings, clear notifications). I don't see what's supposed to be in it for me even if it worked.
It's gone from being a fabulous device that I used virtually every day to being unusable and ready for the bin. What a shambles.
As a non techie it seems a huge own goal to me and I'm surprised there's not more of a storm about it.

No 5.0.2 on mine yet; browsing is now a pain, switching between tasks is painfully slow. Startup time is also pretty bad. And for the first time I've had it randomly switch off - although that could be in part down to age.Just trying to use it for browsing last night and it just switched off then came back on with a flashing screen of lines. Although having installed "Fast Reboot" and clicking it before starting an application, it tends to be slightly less unreliable.
It does bear similarities to iOS8 on my 4S - the update just isn't as well written as its predecessor.
Just glad that normal browsing duties are being performed way better by my Asus Windows 8.1 tablet - chrome on the desktop is leagues ahead of chrome on Android. Night and day difference - one is usable, the other (Android) feels like a toy. Kinda weird that MS are genuinely improving Windows, whereas Google and Apple are tending to go the other way.

On my N5:
Anyone having an issue with any forma of videos they receive either on WhatsApp, Facebook et al? Mine only plays part way through and then stops, but the time/duration bar stays at zero. Bizarre.
On further investigation, it appears to just be the photos app itself as downloaded videos open fine in MX Player.Anyone having an issue with any forma of videos they receive either on WhatsApp, Facebook et al? As another update; having been forced to use Gmail (great decision...not) and go through the pain of learning setup, resetting passwords etc (again no benefit at all for me), it has now stopped working. I just get "No Connection Retry" for the last week. Other apps connect OK so I do have connection and my mail works OK on my desktop and phone. So another huge step backwards and no idea how to fix it.
Oh and auto rotate doesn't work now either and I'm forced to use landscape mode rather than my preferred portrait.
Seriously, don't upgrade if you have a choice.
Heads should roll over this. Who tested this garbage?

Check if auto-rotate has been turned off in settings. It did that when my Nexus 7 updated to 4.4.4Seriously, don't upgrade if you have a choice.

Personally I like Lollipop, my only issue is some lag when exiting Chrome sometimes and the home screen needing to redraw. This is a known issue.

Agreed. On my Sony it seems to turn Auto-rotate off when it updates.Personally I like Lollipop, my only issue is some lag when exiting Chrome sometimes and the home screen needing to redraw. This is a known issue.

Not yet had the ota update on my nexus 5 - still on 4.4.4!
Really annoying as it is a replacement sent by Google play store and my previous one was working great with lollipop 5.0.0.
Any advice on forcing an ota?
You can download it on your computer and sideload it. It's pretty simple to do.Really annoying as it is a replacement sent by Google play store and my previous one was working great with lollipop 5.0.0.
