Did anyone go from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 over the air

I kept my nexus 7 (2012) on KitKat due to the early problems with 5.0 but am wondering if I will have to sideload the update or wait for ota

My 2012 N7is still on kitkat, having never received a lollipop update OTA.

There are two 2013 N7s in the family, both have received a lollipop update (I'm guessing 5.0.1) - I asked if either had any problems since the update but I'm told both are working fine.

Yes I went from 4.4.4 to 5.0 then to 5.02 ota, and to be honest the couple of day's I've been on the very latest version I wished I'd stayed on kitkat, yes the lag has almost been eradicated on lollypop now, but its still not as snappy as it was on kitkat, sometimes newest is not always best and 5.0 and its derrivatives does not bring that much to the table in improved interface and gimmicks to warrent upgrade IMHO, my nexus7 just worked as it should on kitkat, not the same now.

Hey, went from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 about an hour go, seems to be behaving more or less the same as well :-)

Yeah everything is set as it should be, however with this new way of doing it, apps can override the priority notifications settings. WhatsApp have issued a new beta to see if it helps
You still need to hit the bell icon next to the volume slider in the notifications bit. Mine is the same, priority notifications doesn't turn the sound off. It'll turn it back on whether I like it or not but I have to manually turn off sounds.

I still can't get on with triangle, circle and square instead of back arrow, house and stacked rectangles.

Feels like a PlayStation. Or Play School.

No HDR on Nexus 10, I've just checked mine.

All Firmware and app up to date.

The 5 update hit my 2012 N7 last night. It doesn't seem to have addressed the performance issue. The machine is significantly slower than when I bought it - there's plenty of storage space left too and I've closed all the unnecessary apps, so I'm not sure why.

I have all but given up on it in favour of using my N4 these days. Shame - I had such high hopes for 5.0.2 too. frown

I take it you've done a full reset? Did you have an early 2012 N7 by any chance. I discovered last year that some had dodgy flash so if you nearly filled them and even after emptying the performance just because so slow that a full reset was the only fix. Needless to say I sold it and got a 2nd hand 2013 N7 smile So much better.

Cheers. I went back to factory and just wondered if it was supposed to be there. Looks a bit bare feature wise compared to n5

To be fair, the last thing I would take a picture with would be any type of tablet. So does not worry me.

If your tablet is running great on 4.4.4 I'd not bother, it may well update ok but it may not and I prefer kitkat over lollypop anyday, .

Ironically I've just received a email from the Google team regarding feedback I left regarding the introduction of 5.0 lollipop and my thoughts on how rubbish it was. They stated how they have improved it in 5.02 and I should update and try it ....as its much improved.
O no its not.

I would switch back to Kitkat from 5.0.2 instantly if I could easily.

I'm still not sure what the upsides are supposed to be (on an old N7) to make it worthwhile. Is there a list of improvements somewhere?

And I've had plenty of bad downsides; random crashing, horrible lag, changed interface for no reason etc.

Is there a 5.0.3 on the way?
