My force close issues on the N5 have reduced since wiping the cache but I've been having very annoying GPS issues lately. The GPS signal is dropping out and makes exercise apps impossible to use. Googling suggests it's a pretty big issue with lollipop but I'm going to try a replacement handset anyway.

Getting pissed off with these "niggles" if I'm honest

Nexus7 just went blank and unresponsive, pressing start button managed to get it to restart in safe mode, never had that happen before,no favorites on internet and no browsing history holding start forced it to reboot into normal mode, I really do not like this tablet anymore.

Didn't fix mine, still lags and random reboots.
Bugger. Looks like its stuffed then frown

I can't believe they get away with killling a device with an update, and not having a means of rolling back. Its almost like they want to force you to buy a newer device.
My wife has also just updated hers even though I told her not to. Its also now borked so thats 2 for 2. Just need my daughter to tell me hers is buggered and Google have managed to fk up all of them frown

Any weird updates or anything been rolled out in the last couple of days?

My Nexus 5 is absolutely eating battery this week.

For example, unplugged it this morning at 6.30 fully charged, I've probably used it for 10 mins and the battery is currently at 14% yikes

I've got this on my M8 - My WiFi is a little sporadic now and every now and then the backdrop image goes black...

I also use basic power saving and the notification banner is persistent and unless I turn power saving off, it stays on the lock screen which is untidy. Can it be hidden - it can't be from the apps list though frown

Haven't used it at all since posting this half an hour ago - now 8%

Anyone else experience the mad chrome loading tab circle of doom?

2nd tab, it's the loading circle moving around instead of just circling on the centre spot - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRABBPE_5M0

First video capture, probably too short.

Any decent apps on the play store to try and discover what's going on with the battery?

thanks

If spot something fishy going on with an App (rather than Lollipop itself) then you can download Greenify from the play store which hibernates apps.

As an example, my S5 (on 5.0) was lasting about a day, which was annoying as it would do 2 days before on 4.4.2... So, I don't want to root it yet as its a works phone, and not that old, so I downloaded Greenify and hibernated a few apps (there is a thread on XDA about it, don't go nuts with it hibernating everything!) and I am sitting here now with a phone on 89% having been off the charger since 630 this morning, with slightly lighter than normal usage!

Checked the wife's M8 phone last night for the 5.0 update, its there, but it's not going to be installed just yet.

I've posted this in two places for a good reason - When I open a long message thread, it can take anything up to 25 seconds to open - And, fairly frequently, when I'm typing, the autocomplete box doesn't fill out:

I managed to catch an example where I was typing "anything":

Is it just me?

I'll add that this isn't Android 5 specific though...

ETA - Bah!

Just downlaoded Lollipop to my LG G3, not noticed anything huge; change wise, but then I've only had this phone for 2 days and prior to that I was on Windows Phone.

However the operation of the phone has sped up massively and I do like the notification bars that come up when you get a text or whatever and they can then be swiped out of the way.

Can anyone reccommend a decent keyboard as the standard one I'm struggling with.
