Has anyone had this appear as an update on their Nexus 4 yet please?

Yes, had an auto update message about three nights ago on my N4, downloaded and installed.

The light coloured new keyboard rather jars, but the dark scheme is okay. Will try to get used to that than revert back to Holo or Swiftkey.
I got white keys on a white background on the keyboard after upgrade and I just couldn't get on with that (personal preference and all that).

Yep, got it on Monday night I think. Still waiting for my 2013 N7 though.

There's still some bugs in apps, for example the facebook notifcation no longer takes you to the notifcation, it just opens the app where you last were if previously opened, or normally opens it if it's not yet started.

You're not the only one waiting for an update to their N4.

I posted this on the Nexus4 thread but if anyone can't get on with the new Photos app and instead would like the KitKat gallery back then drop me a pm, I have an extracted APK which will install it on Lollipop.

Seems to be a lot of change for changes sake. Considering reverting to KK.

Now that I've had time to explore, I really like it.
Really freshens up my ageing (13 months old hehe) Nexus 5.

I quite like it on my Nexus 5 (which has generally been a great phone). There is a bit too much white in the menus now, but I like the fact it estimates time to full charge on the battery screen.

Other than the white as others have said this works perfectly on my Nexus 5. It's noticeably quicker, more useful with the lock screen notifications and appears to use less battery power.

I bet I'll have to wait months for my Sony to get it frown

Wasn't white the colour of the backgrounds before Kitkat 4.4.4, it's white on my parents Hudl2 ( runs 4.4.2). Black was just a temporary thing. smile

What I would actually like is if the app drawer used my background wallpaper like earlier versions did.... not a biggie, but not a huge thing to implement either; some of the replacement Launchers I've seen in the past had this feature, but I can't be bothered trying one on the N5 because the Now launcher is just so good, quick 'n slick.

So, for me -- thumbs up for 5.0 on the N5

On the N7 -- I've reverted to KitKat, just did it while having dinner. I posted earlier it seemed Ok, except for Chrome. Reality was, sometimes it was Ok, sometimes it was glacially slow; it all depended what was happening in the background and what apps had started background processes at any given time. Sometimes it tipped along at an acceptable lick, other times it slowed to a crawl. So back to KK we went....

Same here.

Also noticed....

I now have some limited control on my Sonos when the phone is locked.

This may or may not be new....You can resize some widgits by doing a long press on it and then letting go...drag the white circles to increase and decrease the size. It works with the calendar and bookmarks widgits but not on others.

Cheers.

It doesn't even take up any more room.

Still horribly laggy and unresponsive on my n7, reading post's on xda it seems to be a common issue, suggested cure is to enter recovery mode and clear the cache, did this last night and it's made a world of difference, much much better.

My N7 2012 is definitely much more lethargic under Lollipop, to the extent that when OTA updates become available for my N7 2013 and Moto G, I won't be applying them.

This gives me a little hope though. Does this procedure involve data loss (ie. a factory reset) or is it safe to do?

Totally safe no data loss involved.

Do the above select clear cache and then reboot once its done (takes seconds)
