Laptop running very hot !

My Samsung Q330 laptop that I bought in 2011 is running very hot. When using it after a while sittlin on my leg it gets sp hot I have to lift it away. Also when watching videos on youtube it slows down or stalls. Any idea whats wrong and what I need to do to cure it?

Probably dust in the fan slots, sometimes you can just blow them out without any dismantling. Make sure you're not covering them when you rest it on your lap...

Dont sit it on your legs. Laptops have small feet for a reason, to allow air to circulate under the unit, putting it on your lap prevents this. Laptop is a misnomer anyway.

twee as they look if you must have you laptop on your lap get one of the those cushion bottomed tray / tray topped cushion thingys

I often see laptops over heat cus they've been smothered by clothes

If you want it on your lap a simple hardback will do

Have you checked your CPU usage in task manager to see if anything is hogging the CPU?
