My 5S (at the end) used to be struggling to do a full day from 100% (8am to 11pm).

My 6 still has around 40% left at 11pm.

Love the size of my 5 but the battery is not lasting long enough.

My 5s has a terrible battery, I was down to 30% by 12pm, it was unplugged at 7.30am. I wasn't sure about the size of the 6 but I think I am just going to have to put up with it and change as I'm fed up of having to leave chargers everywhere.

My 5S is just coming to the 12 months of ownership mark. Battery is usually reasonable, I dont use data all the time, and even using it to play music while I commute & calls though out the day, I finish the day with around 30% battery left.

Give it to my daughter to play games though and it dies around 19:00 (charged up overnight)

Does seem better to me, although I was making a lot more use of the phone over the course of the day before. Coincidentally though.

My iPhone 6+ last 2 days minimum, usually closer to 4. Coming from a 3 yr old 5 it's been a bloody revelation.

I reckon that alone is enough to justify the larger size.

Had the battery replaced on my 5 under the Apple battery replacement program a month ago and now I get all day use of the phone. Used to c**p out after mid afternoon and need a charge. Use to get to 20% and then just shut down. Now works very well. Hope to get a 6 next week

Guess it looks like I will end up upgrading. Still prefer the size of the 5 but needs must...

if your battery life is rubbish check to see which apps are open.

i have a 5S and battery performance became rubbish. it turned out that Facebook was draining my battery massively and using up my data allowance. I always close the Facebook app now and battery life is massively improved. 30% remaining at midnight, taken off charge at 7.00am

the other app that destroyed my batter was human (activity tracker). closing the app did not stop battery drain (completely died by 5pm) so i had to completely remove it from my phone. battery usage back to normal

At the end of a working day in London, the 6 has considerably more battery left than my 5S had... The 6 handles a full working day much better, my 5S was often down to under 10% on the train home, not the 6, maybe 40% left.
