I'm not an idiot, nor am I a computer whizzkid. So I'm after a bit of help...
My girlfriend's just bought her Laptop over and it seems o be infected with sh*tloads of 'stuff'!
I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran that which flagged up over 1300 'things' which I quarantined. AVG 2013 was already on the laptop which just popped up itself saying there's a couple of trojans which I removed as well.

Yet I'm still getting loads of popups on chrome. How do I solve this?
One popped up just now saying I need to update windows drivers....

Thanks.

Make sure you run Malwarebytes in SAFE mode. And run it several times until it doesnt find anything.

Just run malware bytes in safe mode this time. Picked up a couple more things! I'll run it again in safemode just to be sure.
Still bringing some popups up. What's combo fix?

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/

Also, for a more comprehensive tool try Tron which was written by a Reddit contributor tired of running multiple tools to clear infections. https://www.reddit.com/r/computertechs/comments/2k...
http://bmrf.org/repos/tron/

Run it in safe mode with networking.
