Can someone point me in the best direction to obtain the correct spec SSD for my laptop. Ideally a hybrid drive to maximise storage.

Its a Sony PCG-81113M.

Cannot seem to find what spec would replace the current HD. Are there any specialist suppliers that deal with this type of thing.

Plus I nee to replace the keyboard and a couple of other bits.

Thanks.

Open it up?

Most laptops just use a standard 2.5" drive size. Yours seems to do too: http://www.ipc-computer.eu/notebook-spareparts/son...

Buy a well reviewed one, from a retailer who are fine with no quibble returns, such as Amazon, and try it out.

If you don't use the DVD drive you could fit an SSD in the slot with a caddy, and retain the HDD for storage.
That is the perfect solution, top man!

Now what's a caddy...
