There's a portable USB powerpack charger thing coming up later. Anyone know if these can be charged in a car?
Yes, but you should get an adaptor that kicks out 2.1a from the car as most of them are 1a and take an age to charge anything including phones.
I noticed that. Always wondered why!
This power pack?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LFA05TA?ref_...

Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, its way way to low in power with only 2600mAh.

Look at these instead:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/13000mAh-External-Technolo...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Omaker-Exterior-10000mAh-B...

Not much more but have 4 times the power storage, little bit bigger.

Think TRADAR55 code will work with the Omaker to reduce it more.

polaroid tvs are making the hits on eBay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Televisions-/11071/i.htm...

They are only £250 normally (£150 black friday) and people are trying to flog them for up to £320.

They come with probably no warranty as they are 2nd hand, plus an LG/Samsung 42" tavs are on for £264-280.

Some people just ended up with multiple tvs they won't be able to shift.

Thanks. Do these charge up fine with cars' cigarette lighters then? Also, how do they fair with partial charging? My idea is that whenever I drive, I normally plug the phone in to give it a boost (rarely drive far enough to charge 100%). So the idea is to charge up one of these portable units in bouts of 10m to 60 minutes (which wouldn't be anywhere close to a full charge). Would I bugger up such a unit doing this?
For that kind of money I wouldn't worry about it.

I just gave one to my folks and they want 2 more, 1 for each car and 1 to take on holiday, that way their phones never run out, all it needs for you is a car adapter to mini usb cable to charge it... I was using my laptop and then when fully charged it should do at least 3/4 charges of a full iphone/ipad before running out.

Didn't bother posting this because wanted to wait until everything had turned up (though Microsoft would never honour it!), but bought an XBOX One with 10 games (inclusive of the Fifa game which came with the console) for £299 with £15 cash back!

It was just the Xbox One bundle with Fifa. When I clicked "add items to bundle" each game's £49.99 price tag was crossed out with £0.00. So I added as many games as I could.
Aye... but from where did you get the original bundle, I want to see.

This the old one of the new one?

Looks a good deal and might replace the ageing system we already have.
