New AppleTV coming????

Now I like to keep on top of what's going on in the world of Apple and for some time I've thought a new AppleTV may be along what with the price drop. But nothing.

Tonight on the gadget show (Amy Williams mmmmm) on the annoying competition list I noticed they said "the new AppleTV when it's released" so does anyone know anything about this as I certainly haven't seen anything??

It has been rumoured for a long time to be an actual T.V. All the info currently our there is surmised here:

Apple had a deal about September time where if you bought the apple tv you got a £25 iTunes gift card. This made me think that surely at the iphone conference there would also be a apple tv update, but there wasnt.

I forget what the point of this post was can anyone help?

I also assumed that aswell as the price drop to £79 everything lead me to think at the iPhone or iPad event a new Apple tv but nothing. And having seen nothing online relating to it, I was quite surprised to see the gadget show suggesting a new one is out soon.

I'm not sure there is much to update: The latest version does 1080p, it has a fast enough processor to stream TV and movies and it does airplay...

I guess they could put games on there, quite easy if they make it iOS compatible?
