Work Experience for 15 year old.

My son is rather bright to say the least. He wants to get a work experience placement somewhere around Leeds, West Yorkshire in the IT field.

He has mentioned that Java script is of interest although he understands he has to be open to anything IT related.

HELP!.... By the way when I say bright I mean off the scale.

Any such placement would be subject to the usual H&S inspection by his School.

An option is to phone up the computing departments of local universities or colleges. I know several in my area took people on for work experience. Make sure you / your son speaks to head of computing.

Many thanks. He does have some opportunties like this through his School. I think he is trying to get something more commercial though. You might well be right though in terms of Uni's etc having the easiest opportunties and they won't have any H&S issues.
