As can be seen on my set up pic, Bright and Nightlight are both scenes

Yeah but they're bayonet fitting and I've replaced all my lamps with E27!

His complaint seems to be that he can't control individual bulbs, so just create a scene using the individual bulb and set the sensor to use that scene? Unless he's trying to use his motion sensor to control multiple lights around the house which is probably a unusual use case scenario.

A sensor can control upto 3 rooms, so a work around could be to make each light in a room a separate room itself, then it can set each one to a different scene.

Anothe option would be automation via the Apple home app.
For example, in our lounge if I turn on the light at the side of the room near the to, the strip light behind the TVs will go on or off accordingly too.

I have set everything up with hue app, but for day to day use we use the home app.
We also have other situations set up with that too, such as the outside light coming on at dusk. This obviously varies depending on the time of year, so by taking the dusk time from local settings on home, it never has to be adjusted

Kitchen has two light sources, different colours. Yes, I have no taste.

If I tell Alexa to turn that room on or off or up or down, the colour difference is preserved.

If I connect the motion sensor to this room, the colour difference is overruled and both are a single shade.

That's the problem...

I think I'll just move it to the stair landing. Seems to be what is made for.

Funnily enough, I didn't write the post specifically for you - but you're welcome anyway...

Create a scene with those two colours. Set that scene for the motion sensor. What am I missing?

Hi,

Has anyone got a link for a bathroom downlight housing for the Hue GU10s, can not seem to find any that suit due to the extra depth.

Thanks

Yeah I'm keeping an eye on camel camel and seems the best price but I just can't really justify it at the moment when I've just kitted out the whole house in hue all I need is a strip to go behind the TV in the man cave but I'll hold out.

The new strip is a flimsy pos in my opinion. My first one had a section of led's that didn't work because the pcb is so delicate and the replacement is showing signs of the same problem

White ambience b22 starter kit for £87 on amazon at the moment. Shame it's not the screw fit bulbs.

How safe are the bayonet to screw adapters?

Just looking at that offer. Ideally for the existing lamps we have in the lounge we need one of each fitting type.

What's Amazon's track record on hue offers? Do they tend to offer the 2nd bulb type on a different day?

I' think I'm going to go for it. It's as cheap as I've seen the starter kit.
