I have the new hub, 2 white bulbs and I've connected two living colours. All works great, I can communicate with Hue remotely when away from home, however, I cannot get IFTTT to work. It's been authorised in MeetHue, I see it in the list of apps, the bulbs all appear on IFTTT when creating recipes but whenever I test nothing happens. Anyone have a solution?
When you "Test Recipe" nothing actually happens with the lights, for me anyway. Hopefully when you activate the recipe they should work.

I have a few recipes set up which include, On at Sunset, and Flash when a txt is received.

Funnily enough I just logged in to IFTTT and checked the one I set up to blink a light when it rains. It actually worked which surprised me, unfortunately when trying to test that one again and other recipes nothing is happening again.

That's just the one I was testing, the aim was to have it turn on the lights at sunset, etc but nothing ever triggers. I've had a successful test three times but it's not consistent.

Just wondering. Once you've set up ifttt, go in to your Hue app, Settings, My App, does it still say you're logged in to my Hue?

It is. Sometimes I turn the recipe off in IFTTT then turn it back on and run a test and it works. Then nothing happens again.

Activate the one with flashing lights for a txt message and send yourself text messages. Leave at least a couple of minutes after receiving your own txt.

My IFTTT "lights on a dusk" recipe had recently failed to work so maybe there is a recent problem connecting IFTTT to Hue

Apparently the latest firmware locks out third party bulbs

It's more that you can't add any further 'untested' third party bulbs.

Osram mention it on their website. Hopefully it'll get sorted. It'll be that or hacked firmware.

Do these lights still work if the wifi is down? I.e can I just get them to turn on like a conventional light? Or is this just a downside to using these types of lights?

If you turn off and on their power source, they come on. In theory the Hue dimmer will still work, but I haven't tested it. You could also control them via the app or website using mobile data.

If the wifi is down - i.e. Your home broadband then the bridge won't have connectivity either to the app/website.

Just picked up a B22 starter pack for £59 (3 bulbs) from Currys - looking forward to having a play with it.

How do I know if its the latest bridge or not its round with 3 leds

The old Bridge is round, the newer homekit compatible one is square.

Ta - I have an old one but for the price the bulbs were worth it, its for one room and I was going to buy wifi plugs until I saw this.
