I bought some TV series a couple of years ago, and downloaded, and watched. But every time I go to iTunes it reminds me to download them again.....

If I 'check for available downloads' it tells me 23 waiting. And it tries to download them, again, whenever it gets the chance. Doesn't ask me if I WANT to download anything, just starts automatically.

How can I tell it 'enough, I'm done, I've downloaded three times already'?

Yes, there is probably a small box to tick somewhere, which, when you know which one it is, is fairly simple and logical, but obviously I can't find it amongst dozens of boxes, on dozens of pages.

I don't want to click 'Reset all warnings for purchases' in case it then tries to download everything I ever bought...

If I click on 'Report a problem' nothing happens, nothing at all.

Google tells me repeatedly, over five years of responses, that I need to contact iTunes, but they can't be serious, surely????

'iTunes help' suggests I contact 'iTunes Store Support Website' but the link they give does squat, doesn't respond or take me anywhere.

So, no iTunes aficionados have the answer?? frown

Hmm, I thought there were more than a few guys here who believed iTunes was like the second coming of Jesus Christ, and would go on a crusade if ever anybody dared complain or criticise it...... paperbag

iTunes - Preferences - Store.

Automatic download options at the top.

Well, i think that should do it.

Well, it does, until I next check for 'Available Downloads' and 23 episodes of 'Rescue Me' all start to download....

I find it seriously hard to believe that iTunes does not have a button or box to tick to either remove these from my history, or to tell the bloody program they have already been downloaded a couple of times. Nothing else on my purchased list wants to download 3 times.

I think the only alternative is email IT Tunes support and ask them to remove the programmes from your download list:

I had a similar issue a while ago. I seem to recall Apple's solution was to delete the files I had on my computer and let iTunes re-download. Messed up logic but it worked.
