And watch people 1 star your game because they think it should be completely free, even though they admit to being addicted to it.

As has been said above just treat it as a learning experience with anything else a bonus and you can't go far wrong.
Depends on the IAP. The pay-to-win model will get you a virtual kicking but something that just adds to the game I can't see the problem. That's Crossy Road's model.

Just had a good look at the intro guide... it looks a lot like VB!! (As in, I used to code VB but could never get my head round Java or similar.)
