Still not used mine. Still locked to bloody O2.
Allegedly Tesco mobile sims are O2, just much cheaper. For some bizarre reason a nan sim cost £5 month more. Still the Appleites like to pay more so maybe that's why.
Why on earth did they pick nano?
And why lock the bloody thing.

I couldn't, however, get Giffgaff mobile data working on the OHs Fire phone, so once out of WiFi range you'd have no internet etc.
I can't fathom out why they'd tie them to a network provider as they have done.
They'd shift a whole lot more if they were truly SIM free.

The network subsidises some of the cost to gain mass adoption rather than unlocked (and expensive) phones. Having said that, they managed to get out of their deal with AT&T, so not sure why they can't with o2.They'd shift a whole lot more if they were truly SIM free.

I am looking for a phone for my daughter as she goes to secondary school in Sept.
£99 for a 64GB phone is a great deal or is this phone really that bad. Obviously she wants a Pink 5C, but they cost a lot more than £99!
I will get a sim only Tesco deal so I presume this would work?
You would first have to get it unlocked?£99 for a 64GB phone is a great deal or is this phone really that bad. Obviously she wants a Pink 5C, but they cost a lot more than £99!

I picked up a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 at weekend - that can be readily unlocked according to comments on other forums. £125 on payg (I guess a fiver to unlock), 5.5" 1920x1080 screen, 13mp camera (Sony unit apparently), 2gig ram, 8 core/64 bit processor Snapdrag 615). Quite a nice device. Slap it in a case and no-one would ever know it was a Vodafone branded device.
