Java Updates, now computer slow?

Bloody automatic updates, every time I allow one, the computer starts playing up.

Just updated to latest Java due to constant demands from Java, now web pages take ages to load, if at all.

I know how to do system restore, but does anyone have a fix or know what my problem is (other than computer rage and the bloody thing never being the same machine twice

Go here https://java.com/en/download/ and click 'Do I Have Java?'

See what is installed then update if needed. This page also removes any old versions if you have them.

I was very happy when I got rid of the last program that required Java. Continual updates.

First thing is, do you actually need Java?

Very little still uses it these days.
