Looking for one of these, has to be better than a kitchen chair.
I like the look of this one

Leather, heated, vibrationseek, and bright red to piss SWMBO off biggrin
Any other suggestions, budget is about £90/100 all in with postage if needed, but cheaper would be nice as it leaves room to spend on more toys

Ikea have a quite a few options. If you leave near enough one then the best bet is to go visit and see which you find comfy, as what one person finds good another can find awful. They do something that looks alright for £34.90 that might be worth a look: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/5021248...

From the Ebay feedback :

poor quality started falling apart in a matter of weeks
Chair WILL START squeaking, terrible communication from seller. AVOID.
Not very good if you are a large person also could not return did not have box
Chair has scratches on it also parts missing person has to be taken off eBay
The chair is poorl made, no massage only vibration and no heat
item faulty .I have contacted the seller by email twice with no reply .
Very poor quality.Bolts coming out all the time an collapsing - Warning - Avoid!

For that price, I am not at all surprised.

Btw, from a previous thread on the topic I bought one of these which have excellent reviews :

http://www.officefurnitureonline.co.uk/office-chai...

Initially very comfy and seemed fairly well made. But then I noticed that with my feet off the ground the chair turns round on its own! eek My previous one didn't but I got my spirit level out of on the floor which confirmed that it was level. I can only conclude that the support stem/piston bit is bent. They did send me out a replacement part but the seat base is fixed onto the stem by sitting on it and once it's fixed on it's seems impossible to remove again in order to replace the part so I haven't bothered. The seat cushion at the front edge gets quite hard and uncomfortable under your thighs if you're like me and sit leaned back about 45 deg. For the price I suppose it's "okay" as it serves its purpose but I wouldn't recommend it. I would advise to you that if you spend a lot of time sat in one that padded armrests are well worth getting in order to prevent sore elbows.

The problem I've found with Ikea chairs (I've had two, both quite expensive) is that over time, the central column slides further and further downwards through the base so that eventually it can touch the floor and damage whatever flooring you have.

I bought a new chair about two years ago from my local Staples. It cost me about £60, was comfy and hasn't fallen to bits yet, but a little more lumbar support would be nice. Like Ikea you'll find chairs on display in this store so you can try for what you like.

EDIT: I did have a link to the chair I have in here but when clicking on it the link is dead, not sure why.

Another vote for Staples. Mine was about £200 reduced to half price. A 'keep an eye on' situation rather than just going in once and expecting bargains galore.

I have a lovely hole in my carpet from this happening on my Ikea chair. Loved the chair until this happened though, and it got a hell of a lot of use over a couple years before it happened.
