Nothing different has changed, just woke up a few days ago to a full battery and since then it takes the piss to charge and is now discharging whilst on charge (only when on phone at the same time).

Same charging block + usb I've always used.
Even tried a different one and same result.

Any ideas? :/

Turn off and on. May help.

Also worthwhile checking no apps are running when you're no longer using them. Press and hold the big button at the bottom, then swipe the apps away.

Tried and tried.

I've been reading guides online but no luck.

I'm thinking of going to the market and buying a new charger + battery before buying a new charging bit for the phone :/

Yeah, new charger is my next thing - probably damaged the cable.

Also check the USB port in the phone is clear of dirt.

I've found that the USB leads somehow end up charging very slowly. Either that of you have apps running constantly sapping all the power.

If you get a new one, get the following: http://amzn.to/1DmaYSa

Long cable, works a treat. Better than the standard one that comes with the phone. And it charges up my S3 unlike a lot of other chargers!

I do nick the one at the gym that's a proper charger, no fancy usb thing and I'm 100% sure that works with no issues.

I normally just leave my phone plugged in and get on with my work out. Fully charged when I leave but I don't play on it so can't come to a conclusion :/
Will have to try tomorrow.

My Note 1 did this when the charging port came loose.

Or you could try resetting the phone back to factory default. It's worth doing this every now and then anyway, as it speeds everything up to how it was when you first got it. Just got to back everything up first.

Download GSam battery monitor from the play store and see if you have a rogue app that is causing bother.
