Is the THL5000 a natural successor to a nexus 4?

If you want great performace, but suffered a poor battery, is this a good way to go?
Great budget price too...

ordered mine from amazon earlier in the week, hopefully here on Saturday.

Can't wait, it's to replace a 'terminal' galaxy s2, that even with a double size battery struggles to last 12 hours.

I really like mine. Not your average user, more of a very light one, got 24 days out of it on first charge, with just bluetooth connection to car, some texts, odd call, but not much else.

These days get 3-4 days out of it mainly hitting it with some android games on top of the above use. I came from an LG 4X-HD, and haven't been disappointed by the phone at all so far.

Not overly customised it, just using buzz as my launcher. Not many roms out for it as of yet due to a locked base version but given it's relatively clean to start with I've not hankered after something different as of yet.

No problems to mention in my use. I'd have gone for a OnePlus One, but at the time, invites were thin on the ground and my impatience got the better of me wink

Great feed back - dont do much custom stuff anyway, but I do like the clean OS on a nexus stock device, unlike samsung etc

Another happy user here, was also in the market for the OnePlus but couldnt be bothered to wait any longer. For ~£180 its a massive bargain. The battery life is a revelation for me, it makes you wonder why other phones only slightly higher specced are £300 more.

If it broke tomorrow I would buy another one without hesitation.

Bought two direct from China last year, worked out about £130 each. No issues with mine, good screen, powerful enough and great battery life. My wife knocks hers about a lot more and has dropped it a few times resulting in the power button being a bit flaky recently but I'd just buy another one if I can't open it up and fix it (already lasted a lot better than her Samsung she had previously).

3 network bundles are pretty good.

All in One 15 = 3000 texts, 300 mins & all-you-can-eat data.

There's giffgaff too.

On EE with 5Gb data and loads of texts and call anyone minutes for £15 a month, glad I said no when they wanted £50 a month for the latest phone and a similar package of services.

If you want a chinese phone with a huge battery then try the THL 4000 as it has 4000mh batter. THL 4000. It 3G only and it has a MTK6582 processor with a 4.7" 960X540 QHD screen but can be had for £65 from most chinese gadget sites geekbuying etc.

I've got one and its absolute fantastic. Very similar to a Moto G at half the price but the battery last for a week with moderate use.

If you want a 5" screen and a MTK6592 processor with 1280X720 display then try the THL T6 Pro but it has a smaller battery than the THL 4000 but can be had for £75.

It's arrived today.

All looking very good except that the 'three in touch' app thinks it is rooted, workarounds involve actually rooting it, so not sure which way to proceed (three have offered me the box that plugs into my router if I sign a 12 month contract, so need to have a think)

it's just a sure signal which converts your broadband into a small cell site. Doesn't help if you need to voip away from home though...
