Can anybody point me in the direction of how to download a text message conversation from an iPhone? I ideally need to be able to put it into a Word document format or similar, and given it's over the course of about 8 weeks and about 300 messages I don't fancy typing it out or having to take screen grabs of every message.

Help much appreciated!

I should probably also have mentioned, I'd rather be able to do it for free rather than have to pay for it. That suggestion is telling me I have by the license pack for it as the free one won't work with an encrypted back up confused

What value do you place on being able to back up that conversation?

A reasonable amount, but not $49 worth for only 1 use.

Which is exactly the reason I need it

It was the free version I was trying to use, but it just kept telling me I had to by the Pro version as it was an encrypted back up

You probably won't like this, but - "old school" forensic investigator method - point video camera (inc. other phone) at phone screen, press "record", display relevant messages, press "stop", submit tape,SD, Compact Flash or tape as evidence with accompanying statement.

I'm assuming this is for a civil case.

Do an unencrypted backup? It's an option in iTunes. Can switch it back yo encrypted after you've got the texts and deleted the backup file.
