The One plan is no more, not heard about it being changed for existing customers but if you upgrade then you are placed on the new contract with the tethering limit.

All due to 4g apparently and three being worried that people will use their phone to replace home broadband.

WE seem to be going backwards, the new contracts I see now even with 3 seem to have limited data...

I await my letter, mine isnt oneplan but it is unlimited, and finishes this year, and I have had a whole lot of calls to upgrade/take out other products.

Ah I see, I was on the One Plan on a 12 months deal, however that expired in November and has just continued on a month to month basis.I'm guessing I don't have any rights now if they want to change my tariff?

i called up the other day as my contract is now up and they said it will continue at £15 a month. I hope they dont change it. I tethered 48gb last month so bonus to have 4g tethering.

No sign of any letters or notification. Long may it last.

My One Plan twelve month sim-only contract ended July 2014. It continues to roll at £15/m.

Then you're fine. It's folks on the super duper One Plan (unlimited tethered data, loads of minutes, costing peanuts) that are worried they might get shoved onto a crappier deal. It wasn't payg.

AH- says it all- I thought the one plan was another way of talking about the 3/2/1 tariff.

If its PAYG they can just change it, there is no contract..
I agree on the signal, just lately its dropped a bit where before it was great, but I think this (in my guess) is due to my handset only having a 3g radio and three having upgraded their network to 4g

If that is true, 3 has signed its own death warrant. That was their USP.

I don't thinkthat is signing their death warrant, compared to other providers they are still at the higher end of tables for service and quality.

Just an update, had a call from Three today saying the "One Plan" was now discontinued. They offered me an alternative which was very similar but tethering is limited to 4GB.This plan is £27 a month for new customers but they gave me it at the rate I was paying which is £15.

Annoyed as I was using it as my main internet connection, I don't think any other providers offer anything comparable.

I'm on an 02 Tariff on 4G with 8GB of data (bolt on) - at £27 a month (including cost of said bolt on)

(Is O2 4G Unlimited+ 24 month tariff with a data bolt on at £5, I am assuming they will do something similar on sim only though?)

Mind if I ask how much you were tethering on average a month?

Reason I ask is that I haven't received any call, or letter, and am on the same plan, but I rarely tether at the moment.

Seems like these letters/calls are pretty targeted towards those "abusing" the tethering policy. I don't think they ever intended or advertised it as being a replacement for a permanent broadband connection.

Intresting - it would suggest that they are monitoring your usage, so they know who to target
