[quote=Who me ?]Maplin "home of the dear stuff ", these days. they've strayed from their roots as an electronic supplier. Once upon a time a Maplin catalogue was a worthwhile buy- a electronic designers bible.

I bought TURBO CAD 18 for £5. I really can't complain, as it seems to be 3D and the helpful training videos are mega. £5!!!!

scratchchin Is it just me that's noticed JonnyBel is singing the praises of Supafix just a little too much for the length of time he's been a member here? We aren't that stupid...

The powders/fillers aren't something new with Supafix though? They might just be the first to put glue and filler in the same retail package and on a high street store shelf.

Chemistry tricks with baking powder to get it to cure faster and someone above mentioned tissue paper (giving it some structure to bond around I guess?) have been around a while and will work with any manufacturer's superglue not just Supafix.
Hmmm... memories of layers araldite and silver foil replacing swathes of body of my first car, I swear it was probably the most structurally sound part....

Really not that difficult to make home made composite materials..
