Groupon have an offer for a Surface Pro 3 128gb i5 for £649.

Go through Quidco and get another 5% off. Seriously tempted but not sure whether I'd prefer an i7.

You could pick up the i5 version for that price at PC World around a month ago. Since that surface 3 has been released they appear to have gone back up to around £850 though. I've seen them on Amazon around £640 however.

Surface pro 4 or whatever it will be called is surely imminent. Will be interesting to see how it is kitted out. Might make the discounted pro 3's the better bet! I have heard rumour of core M and even slimmer, fan less chassis. Not sure about it to be honest, but I'll be holding off for the time being.

Yeah I was toying with flogging my SP3 before the SP4 comes out, so that the value doesn't tank like when the SP3 came out and I sold my SP2.

It'd be interesting to see what happens here though. I doubt it'll go Core M, it's just too underpowered for a "Pro" device (It'd certainly be slower than the current generation of Surface Pro's anyway). Also, MS have committed to keeping the docking station and other peripherals compatible with the existing Pro 3, so the new one is unlikely to change dimensions much (The ports would still have to marry up).

My money is on a delayed Surface and Skylake i processors - probably in line with the release of Windows 10.
