Based on the photo it's the same guy who sews the Hugo Boss label to the sleeve of his suit. The first time I saw that it took me a few seconds to work out what the idiots were doing. I wouldn't bet against Apple just yet.

It won't, you're not an early adopter whatsoever. Smartwatches have been around for years.

You assign levels of importance to which ones will wound you, which are infected and which ones are terminal?

So come on then. Someone must have been using theirs for nearly a week now. How useful are they? Is it handy having your phone screen on ya wrist? How hot are they getting? Apart from the fitness side of things are they of any use whatsoever or are you still getting your phone out for everything?

Kinda. hehe

More like: Irrelevant / Unimportant
Relevant
Relevant/Important

Relevant and Important might even warrant finding somewhere to pull over to initiate further communications. Or, if a call, might compel me to initiate the hands free. But as these things come in I can make a decision.

I get st texts and calls that simply don't matter and I get ones that either matter to me personally a very great deal or financially a very great deal. It's great to distinguish in real time.

You'll either think I'm nuts or that this sounds useful depending on your experience and level of communications...

They don't themselves sew the label on - it comes like that from the shop, and they neglect to remove it.

To me it's unclear whether it's for reasons of pride or misunderstanding.

The sport has toughened glass, the others have sapphire. The sapphire is very reflective though because if they coated it then it wouldn't be scratch proof.

In other news, the green LED heart monitor doesn't work well or maybe not at all with tattoos. This is the same for any green LED monitor, but its an Apple story now because Apple Watch hehe

It's so you can easily tell which brand is which when on the rail in the shop. You're supposed to remove it once purchased. smile

Watch - until they are standalone devices with batteries that last a decent length of time they'll remain niche products. Personally I prefer mechanical watches - timeless, more interesting engineering than just another computer and I already have enough ways to be reminded of what I've not done. Including iWife.

The HRM doesn't work particularly well when doing anything in the gym other than running. Try rowing, doing weights, crossfit, vigorous cycling .... it won't register right. Apple have a (rather badly written) article on their website explaining when the HRM will work right.

Its a fundamental failing in optical HRMs, I'm surprised that it hasn't been made into a major headline yet.

That's odd, most of the reviews appear to have sung the praises of the HRM accuracy alongside the best chest straps etc.

It's the sheer quantity of Apple Watch buyers who sport tattooed wrists which seems to be the story...

When running or walking they're accurate, just as the other optical HRMs are.

But when doing anything else they're close to useless. Which hasn't been mentioned on ANY reviews - basically the reviews of the HRM functionality so far have been useless (especially the pre-release ones that were amongst the worst reviews I've ever read).

Yes, you have to attach a photo of your tats with any online order, also a photo of your hipster moustache is needed. The unicycle or penny farthing photo is optional though. wink
