Got mine on friday,

I ordered it on the premise of selling it on if i didn't like it. But i love it, space grey sport linked up with an iPhone 6 with no hiccups. I have been receiving notifications done a bit of fitness stuff and played with the maps throughout the day and the battery has lasted well.

3 days later and more usage have seen the watch become more and more of an essential item to have, i work on site and keep getting my phone out to check messages or missing a call because i can't hear it has become a thing of the past. A small vibration and a ping lets me know of incoming messages and a loud ring and vibration let me know a call is coming in. The call quality could be better as there is a slight delay, but all is good.

I should have ordered 2 and sold one on as the prices are ridiculous on eBay.

Got mine last Friday as well. Apple Watch with leather strap. I like it. I was only mildly interested in getting a smart watch and thought I'd be selling it but think I'll keep it.

I had no great expectations and always viewed the concept as a watch that could do a bit more and it is exactly that. I don't find it intrusive - I have it set to only send me notifications from only a few sources. It is very well made, looks great in polished stainless steel but isn't an object of beauty like many high end mechanical watches are.

I'd be hesitant to call it a must-have or describe it as having that 'wow' factor but as a useful bit of kit to complement a smartphone it fits the bill nicely.

I had my first good look and demo at an Apple store yesterday. I have to say I was impressed. I don't want one as an everyday watch but I have been looking at buying some kind of fitness band such as a Jawbone but I think I'll buy and IWatch Sport instead.

I've got mine now and had it for a week or more.

Basically it's like a Pebble but nicer. It does everything the Pebble did and rather a lot more. Battery life is excellent - easily making a full day from early in the morning to bedtime. It's at 89% at 1:00pm after a 6:00am start. Not as long as a Pebble - but long enough given you drop it on the charger when you go to bed.

I like the Activity app.

If you have Office 365 and hence OneNote that has a watch app. So I shoved the shopping list on OneNote and then read it off the Watch whilst going around the supermarket. Finally getting paperless and having both hands to shop with - great!

I got the Steel one with a steel band. Beautiful clasp on it. Beautifully made. Pleased.

Stainless one delivered last week, I was out so only had it running 2 days now. The Aluminium one should be turning up next week, which I have offered to a colleague at cost. If he doesn't want it I will return unless someone is willing to pay cash in Reading.

I've set mine up on my right arm, dial on the right too as that's what I'm used to. Battery was down to 40% after a full day.

Christ Apple really do have sales figures (for things already in the market) that any other company would just dream of. Astounding.

It'll be interesting to see what happens after the Apple fanbois and early adopter types have got theirs. Whether it will gain widespread appeal or not. It's a pretty new market and if anyone can pioneer it, it's Apple.

It can't have truly widespread appeal, as it isn't a cross platform device. It can only appeal to owners of iPhones - so what, at most 20% of the entire smartphone user base?

Anyway, I was under the impression that the fitness based wearable market had already been sorted (FitBit primarily) and general purpose smartwatches are still a solution looking for a problem (aka people too lazy to pull their phone out of the pocket).
