Currently £5 but £150 in 24 months!? Haha.

Well I don't plan on losing it and I don't suppose it would make good business sense to be handing these out to all and sundry and never getting them back.

Oh it's an actual device? I thought it was bar of the sort that you turned up to and charged your phone at!

Can one procure on free of charge online? Only I don't do real shops as the general public are invariably nearby.

I know you were joking, but if you go to them and say you've lost it, it'll be £20!

So best keep quiet and stump up the fiver at the end of the 18 months biggrin

Of course, thanks! A closer look at the pics reveal a normal USB port as well as mini.
Mini USB is 'IN' to charge the bar.

Flip the cable round (or plug in lightning cable), normal USB is 'OUT' to charge device.

Guys, need to watch the terms and conditions:

"A Power Bar is made available to you on a free to hire basis, under the terms of this agreement, for a maximum of 18 months. After 18 months, the Power Bar must be returned to EE and the Service will end. "
:|
"If you don’t you’ll have to pay a charge to compensate us for replacing the Power Bar. Currently this is £5."
A bit naughty if you ask me, hundreds of people will get caught out by this.

That sounds just like EE !!

I've just texted. It is quite a good idea, especially the out and about and you can drop in and swap it for a charged one.

(when the initial excitement of everyone getting one has calmed down)

My friend got one today.

To the hype about these, you do realise that it only costs a few quid for one which isn't branded by EE, don't you?

I got mine last week, it is a bit bigger than my Anker one, but with less capacity 2600mAh vs 3000mAh. I've found the Anker one to be really useful, so another one is a bonus. iPhone users - I've paired mine with a 15cm Belkin Lightning cable, rather than carrying the full sized one around with me.
