Need to fill a form on a website. This will only work with IE 6 to 8.

My devices are modern on IE 11. It ain't working

Anything on here? http://www.oldversion.com/windows/internet-explore...

Will the page not work in compatibility mode in a newer version of IE?

While you're waiting, install Firefox and try using the User Agent Switcher plugin.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/use...

It worked fine for me when I needed to pretend to have IE6 for a crappy website.

You can grab a VM from here with anything from IE6 onwards: https://www.modern.ie/en-gb

In IE11, press F12 to bring up the developer tools, and on one of the tabs (Emulation) you can get it to pretend to be any version of IE from 5 onwards.

You can download virtual machine images from Microsoft free of charge and these have older versions of IE.

Before you do that, press F12 and choose another IE version from the menu or compatibility tab. You should be able to set IE8 mode on it.

Have you tried Emulation mode?

Open your browser, press F12, then click on the User Agent String dropdown ... you should be able to choose IE6. It *might* kid the page into working.

Managed to find an old dell touch screen that I had abandoned due to being st and crashing.

Then found a mouse as the touch screen is st.

Managed to get IE9 into compatibility mode.

Filled the form in which gave me a reference number. No option to email it to me, only to print it - but printers not setup on this device. Photograph duly taken instead.

Jesus wept how hard is it to fill in a simple form.

Must be a NHS site, surely no one else is running 1800s growers full of security holes.
